This book was written about the wind. What is wind, dou you konw? Wind is moving air. Air is what we breathe. Wind is everywhere around us, even though we can't see it. We can't see the wind, but we can see it move things. And we can hear the wind too. I found that wind made by hot air and cold air change places. When heated air over the Earth rises, coocler, heavier air rushes in to take its place. so the moving air is wind. There are many kinds of wind. Some winds blow gently, others blow fast. Storms like hurricanes bring the strongest winds of all. they are strong enough to knock trees down. Wind is very close to our live. People have used the power of moving air for thousands of years. Making electricity, saw wood and grind grain. In some parts of the world, people have givenspecial names on the wind that blows there. It was surprised me. A chinook is a wind that brows from the Rocky Mountains of the United States. It's so warm and it can melt deep snow in a just few hours. A sirocco is a hot, dry wind that blows from northeren Africa. The wind is on of our life. It's nessary for the earth.(216/3612)
